Hey! My name is Leyla Spennato and I am excited to announce my candidacy for President of Western’s Pre-Medical Society for the 2024/25 school year! As VP Events this past year, I gained invaluable insight about what it takes to run and execute successful events. More importantly, I learned what members do and don’t want!

A few main things I hope to accomplish as President include: -lowering the membership fee to $12 -increase shadowing and certification opportunities -provide short infographic summaries of events and resources for members that can’t make it -create a podcast series with medical students that went to Western for their undergrad -expand member-only Pre-Med resources to include GPA calculators, medical school admission requirements and application timelines, ITR advice and more!

My goal is to support your passion for medicine and provide you with all the resources to be a successful medical school applicant!
